An expanding series of graded readers, offering the classics of Spanish and Latin American literature, specially adapted and graded for students of the language. Each title in the series contains: a short presentation of the life and works of the author; the adapted text; many unabridged, unsimplified extracts from the original, a monolingual glossary; and a guide to reading comprehension.

Many of the titles in "Lecturas clásicas" are accompanied by audio- and even video-cassette recordings, offering an increased degree of accessibility to the language and considerable flexibility in the way the work can be studied.
