An accessible reference work on the Spanish culture for intermediate and advanced-level students, "Imágenes de España" combines a view of Spanish history and culture from very early civilisation to the present day. While constantly referring back to the past, the emphasis is on the modern era and how modern Spain has been shaped and influenced by its past.
The activity book, which accompanies the main reference guide, begins with a series of questions suitable for revision of the topic as a whole. It then progresses to more specific questions to allow students to widen their knowledge of certain areas of Spanish history and culture. Original documents, quotations and references are also provided to form the basis of extended productive work.
