Álvaro Pombo awarded with the Nadal Prize 2012

The writer has won the 68th Nadal Prize of the Destino publishing, endowed with 18,000 Euros, for the novel 'The shaking of the hero', which deals, in the own author's words, with "the ethics of care".
Álvaro Pombo has already been awarded with the Premio Herralde and Premio Planeta. This award makes him one of the main authors in Spanish fiction.
Product Description: Román is a retired university professor who longs for the old days in his profession, fascinating his students and planting in them a craving for knowledge. He is still in contact with Elena and Eugenio, a couple of former students, now medical doctors. A strong and complex emotional and intellectual link has been established between them.
On the other hand, a young journalist shows a great deal of interest for him. Román lets him into his life, ignoring what secrets from a tortured past may entangle him in a dramatic situation.
